On Saturday, February 5, 2022, the Women’s Healthcare and Wellness Committee of Theta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated held their Pink Goes Red virtual event for Heart Health Month. Activities focused on the theme, “Do Your Part: Care for Your Heart.” The event included a 15-minute healthy movement segment and an informative presentation by 3 medical professionals focusing on various aspects of maintaining a healthy heart. Attendees heard from a young man currently awaiting a heart transplant. A robust Q&A session followed the presentations. A live healthy meal demonstration wrapped up the day. It was an informative, enjoyable event.
